Blessings, Darlings!
This post is for my Pagan readers. Foodies, preppers, and snark-addicts - read it if you want, but the challenge is not for you!
Modern technology has made information virtually free. You're reading this via the internet in some form. You can get this from a terminal at your local library for free. While there, you can pick up books on neo-paganism, or witchcraft, or herbalism, or astrology, or whatever - for free. Most of you are accessing this in the convenience of your home.
Many of us spend our time accumulating not just things, but information. Can we ever get enough of either? Yes. In fact, most of us here online have TOO MUCH of both.
So....
Stop the accumulation of "Pagan information". Use - WORK THROUGH - what you already have, at least until Lughnasadh, preferably until next Imbolc. No new books until you're read and done all the exercises in the ones you've already got. No downloading new rituals to try out. No new tarot spreads until you've mastered the decks and spreads you already have information on. Do every meditation/visualization you already have in your possession. Master every tarot deck. Become intimate with the Nature Spirit of every herb/spice/resin you work with before getting more information on how to make potions or incenses.
Use, rather than consume/amass/hoard.
If that means not reading my blog, I'll understand, altho' I post rather less on Pagan/magic/worship/Gods/power than I'd like to be, and I always think I'm rather light on adding to the information overload in general. Still, if you have to decide whether to read a blog or work a book you own - read the book, not me!
Work it. Internalize it. There is no 'Wicca 400' level books/blogs - there is introduction and then the working, the making your path manifest in the challenges of life.
Frondly, Fern

You Say You Want a Revolution
Blessings, Darlings!
When it comes to divination/astrology/etc - I suck. One major hit in 25 years of practice, everything else noise/random.
But there are others out there who say they are good at it. LET THEM COME FORTH!
I want to know what they think is going to happen in 'the Middle East' - which I am extending to include Algeria to the West and Iran to the east. Revolution is afoot in Egypt and Tunisia already, the govt of Lebanon has fallen. Will the Islamic Brotherhood, supported by only about 30% of the country but has at least some infrastructure in place, form a new government in Egypt? Will other middle eastern government fall? Will the US get more blame - the protesters in Egypt have noted where the tear gas used against them has come from, and the US has supported their dictator for decades.
What will all this do to oil prices, and thus to worldwide food supplies? If food supplies are affected, what other governments will fall?
What say you, Astrologers, Psychics, Tarot Readers, etc?

Not In The Stars
Blessings, Darlings!
I've been married a LONG LONG time - since 1980 (just after Mt. St. Helens went off, for those keeping records). But it's not been easy.
I'm a Sagittarius. There are many things we Sag's are. Obsessively organized NOT being one of them. We're a fire sign - we want to get the show on the road, and deal with issues as they come up.
Or, in practical terms - I started packing as soon as we were faced with moving, some 6 weeks ago. I started in the room I knew we'd move first.
My husband, on the other hand, is a Virgo, and a Virgo VERY near the Leo cusp. Virgos are organized. Okay, my experience is that Virgos are micromanagers. A micromanager on the Leo cusp means a micromanager who thinks that the world revolves around himself.
Or, in practical terms - my husband has NOT started packing. He didn't want to start packing until
1 - we had a new place lined up, totally. Lease signed and all
2 - we had a floor plan
3 - we had EXACT MEASUREMENTS on the floor plan, down to where every electrical outlet is.
4 - we had decided, based on all the above, exactly where in which room every piece of furniture would go.
5 - we had decided, based on all the above, exactly in what order we'd move each room/type of item.
He finished all today, just after noon.
By the way - the order 'we' finally decided on is the same order that was apparent to me 6 weeks ago.
Since I didn't wait for his needs to be met before I started packing, I had data available for him on how many boxes it will take to pack a single bookshelf, or a full book case. He had the notion that it would be maybe one box. Nope, for his books, which he has two or more rows of per shelf or are big (aka Encyclopaedia Brittanica) it's at least two boxes per shelf.
He thought everything would go into boxes, and we'd need a whole lot of wardrobe boxes. I pointed out that wardrobe boxes are a pain in the butt to handle, and that bagging our hanging clothes/coats with contractor's sized 55 gallon garbage bags would be far easier to deal with, as well as far cheaper.
I have not killed him, as we spent the entire morning when I could have packed several bookcases planning things in excruciating - and to me unnecessary - detail. He did not kill me over the past few weeks as I packed even tho' he did not want me to.
Marriage. Not the sissies. Especially if your stars aren't aligned well.

Danger! Danger, My Darlings!
Blessings, Darlings!
And, apparently, we're all going to really really NEED all the blessings we can get.
A friend of mine who speaks fluent astrology says that the astrological forecast for the mid July to mid August time is 'as bad as he's seen in his life'. Like wars or attacks, like lack of food and power, etc. Spiritual attacks as well.
So, work on getting that 3 week supply of food/water/energy in place, put wards around your home/work/vehicles/family, get at least a baseball bat or two for self-defense, clear the spiritual garbage that is attracting flies, etc.
Oatmeal, dry milk, dry fruit will cover breakfasts. Peanut butter and crackers (jelly or honey optional) will cover lunch. Rice, stir-fried cabbage, soy sauce can cover dinners (and take little wood to prepare). Or tomatoes and cucs from your garden, with a can of chickpeas added, makes a WONDERFUL salad dinner, especially served in a pita. Yes, you can make pita over wood on a 'charcoal' grill if you practice now. Oh, make your rocket stove (google it) and store some wood now.
You can do more elaborate meals if you have the money.
On any meds? Get refills before the middle of July.
