Properly cooked (and not until it resembles shoe leather), it's a treat, and the way you describe it sounds wonderful!<br /><br />On the other hand, I'd have wrestled Marta for the heart, too.<br /><br />Can you tell I grew up with parents who survided the depression and learned not to waste anything, and passed that lesson on to their kids? Heart and liver and kidney and tripe and other lights were all "treats" when I grew up.
